The LAKE EUCUMBENE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (Inc.)
The Lake Eucumbene Chamber of Commerce (Inc.) was established at a public meeting in December 2002.
Since then it has worked hard to foster business and economic development throughout the whole
Eucumbene area. It has an active business and social policy and believes that economic development
and a healthy community environment are intertwined.

Attendees learnt that:
1. Dr Kim Houghton of 'Strategic Economic Solutions' has been commissioned to research, prepare and write a five year Economic Action (Strategic) Plan for the Lake Eucumbene region. He will conclude this process by giving a Presentation to the Chamber. This will be funded, as planned, with the balance remaining of the TVFP NSW DSRD grant. A sub-committee was formed.
Download a copy of its invitation for submissions and an outline of its objectives.
2. The Snowy River Shire Council had allocated $10,000 from its most recent round of RLGIP Federal funding towards the Chamber's 'Adaminaby Beautification Plan'.

Jo Larkin then gave a very comprehensive Presentation, providing a very worthwile insight into the current operations and plans of this region's peak tourism organisation. Members found the interaction between Tourism NSW and other tourism bodies in other states, particularly with reference to marketing the Alps regions very relevant. A short business meeting followed and matters dealt with included the completion of the Strategic Plan, issues arising from the June Town Meeting including the Adaminaby Township Beautification Plan. It was decided that the next meeting should be open to the Public. Download the Minutes
